Our next stop was Corpus Christi, Texas. Since that's about a 19 hour drive, we decided to break it up into two driving days and stop around Houston. This was just after Hurricane Katrina had devastated this area, and all of the hotels for miles were filled with relief crews.. After a few hours of unsuccessfully looking for a hotel we decided to just sleep in the car.
