This is the Victoria Falls Bridge. The tiny blue roof that you see in the middle of the bridge covers the platform from which we were to make our jump.

The crew who prepared us for the tandem jump was quite efficient, courteous, and professional. They claim to have a 100% success rate. :-)

This jump is 111 meters tall. Way down below us is the Zambezi River. Soon we will be very close to it. The gentlemen counted down from 10, and at 2 we were supposed to get our jump in motion.

We had a full 4.3 seconds of free fall.. Thats certainly long enough to talk and cry about how this was a terrible, terrible, terrible idea... ;-)

The worst part of the whole experience was when the jump was over and we were winched back up to the top. It took a long time -we were just dangling there.. terrified.. I was so incredibly happy when we got back on solid ground! :-)
