Our boat had 12 double occupancy rooms, and we were at about half capacity.

Our first adventure was a night outing on a smaller boat into the flooded forest. Right after our guide Ruben gave us his safety spiel about wearing life jackets, he took his off, climbed onto the bow of the boat, and grabbed this little baby cayman out of the water. Caymans are a relative of the crocodile but are not aggressive.

We caught over 20 and brought them back to the boat’s chef. She made us an amazing stew out of them.
