We made our way back down south to Krakow, the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. It has a beautiful old town square which was bustling with the warmth of people and activity. Last comment 04/19/22.

Six times in Europe we used Couchsurfing.org to put us in touch with locals who were friendly and adventurous enough to put Ed and I up on their couch for a night. Last comment 04/19/22.

Our plan for the next few days was to slow down a bit from all of the driving and sightsee a bit more. Our first destination was Slovakia. Here Ed caught me trying to get the perfect photo, his turned out better than mine. Last comment 04/19/22.

The scenery in the Slovakian countryside was stunning, and the roads were in great condition. We made good time and arrived in Bratislava that evening. Last comment 11/23/20.

This is the view from the spaceship atop the tower on the bridge. Here we met up with a couchsurfer named Lulu, who was a fantastic host and was gracious enough to offer her place for an additional night when our other plans didn't come through. Last comment 01/06/17.

Using Lulu's house as a base, we drove over to Austria to see Vienna for the day. There happened to be a film festival going on when we arrived.

I was very excited to find a store which was dedicated to selling Lapis Lazuli, I've developed a fascination for the beauty and the history of the stone. Last comment 04/19/22.
