It was at the Rhosa Khutor Extreme Park. We couldn't see see the beginning of the event but the final three big jumps were right in front of us.

There were a few falls but only one where the paramedics had to help get the competitor back on her feet. Scary..

I caught a glimpse of the Belarus Olympic team and had to get a shot with them for my new friends back in Minsk.

We had a free evening so tried our hand at getting last minute tickets. There were great seats available for the women's 7.5km Sprint Biathlon up at the Laura Cross-Country Ski and Biathlon Complex.

I had no idea, but the biathlon is one of the premier events of the Winter Olympics for Russians. The spirit of the crowd and the fanfare was incredible!

Our seats were right in front of the shooting range. The ladies started here one per minute. They would come back to the stadium twice to shoot before skiing off again.

There were five targets each with a black background. When the bullet hit the target, it would drop and the background would become white. We could see the color change from our seats, so the crowd would yell out in joy or dismay as the athletes shot.
