We visited the Al-Qurain Martyrs' Museum in a suburb of Kuwait City. It is a memorial to a cell of 13 patriots who resisted arrest by the Iraqi invaders in the beginning of the first Gulf War.

The building was shelled for hours by automatic rifles, grenades and the tank on display out front. Nine of the patriots were eventually captured and killed. Four survived by hiding in the attic.

We tried to lighten the mood after by consuming mass amounts of sushi on brightly colored plates.

Later on that evening we had dinner outdoors on the corniche. It was a nice night, great company, and a horribly inappropriate conversation. :-)
